The Sunshine Castle is an award winning tourist attraction and function venue. Much in the tradition of Castles all around the world the Sunshine Castle captures the imagination of old and young alike. A stand out landmark in this location it offers excitement, enchantment and education as you pass through
its doors. The planning and execution of the Norman style Castle, with medieval additions, complete with moat, turrets, towers and drawbridge is completely unique in Australia.
The Castle offers a plethora of highlights on a self walk tour. These include the Castle Courtyard with the Kings Table, fireplace, stage and moat. Reception Hall with mounted knight in full armoury, Xena's throne and ballista. Great Hall for the Kings feasting nights with trophies and exhibits. Dungeon and Kings Chapel. 24 metre lookout tower with a view from Coast to Hinterland. Toy and doll museum, fairytale dioramas, model train railway and much more.
Children are sent on a Treasure Hunt and are able to choose a treat from the Kings treasure. A new history shields tour offers detailed information on the medieval elements of the Castle and history.
The Castle also offers functions and weddings, children's birthdays and School workshops.

Children:
Children are welcome. Castle self-walk tour, treasure hunt, model train railway, doll museum, fairytale displays, medieval armoury.
Disabled:
There is access for guests with a disability. There is a ramp and limited access to the displays. Disabled toilets. Wheelchair patrons get 50 per cent off the entry fee as they cannot see all displays.
Pets Allowed:
Yes. Dogs admitted only on leads and not in the food service areas.
Further Details:
The Bli Bli Markets are held at Sunshine Castle on the first and third Saturday of every month. The Markets run from 0800 to 1300. There is no admission charge to attend the markets.
The Castle is 90 per cent under cover and is a great wet weather alternative. During torrential rain and storms some of the Castle areas may be closed off for safety reasons.
The fully licensed Castle Cafe serves delicious fayre fit for a king and the menu includes anything from a coffee and cake deal to a hearty Lamb shank. The gift shop stocks a large variety of wares including swords, goblets, children's dress ups, medieval style pottery, jewellery, the very popular Papo and Schleich figurines and ornaments of all shapes, sizes and styles. The shop is increasingly becoming known for its well selected stock of quality children's toys at very competitive prices.
Every year the Sunshine Castle hosts a number of special events for the general public including the annual Medieval Festival, Feasting nights and an Oktoberfest. It also regularly runs special theme days for children. A fun and educational School Holiday Programme including pottery classes and circus school is run during the holidays and school groups regularly attend the Castle for medieval workshops and visits. For a venue with a twist the Sunshine Castle is the perfect place for weddings, parties, luncheons, tour groups, corporate events and children's birthdays. It caters for anything from smaller intimate functions to a large bazaar style events for groups of up to 250 guests. Packages include fun themed menus as well as gourmet catering
options. An entertainment points scheme allows you to choose subsidised entertainment including fire breathing and belly dancing to really spice up your event.
How To Get There:
Only eight minutes north of Maroochydore, 35 minutes south from Noosa, and one hour north from Brisbane. View of Castle is prominent from all roads leading to central Bli Bli. f you are travelling with a GPS it is best to enter David Low Way crossing Princess Drive.
