The Pine Rivers Heritage Museum is set amongst the graceful landscape of Old Petrie Town, just to the north of Brisbane. Staff encourage visitors to explore the historic character of the Pine Rivers district through their permanent and ever-changing special displays.
The Museum is fully air-conditioned and there is always something new to see as they seek to build one of the best regional museums in Queensland. An animated theatrette provides an entertaining overview of the development of Pine Rivers.
... moreOther displays include the Old Schoolroom, Yebri House, and supplying the Building Trade, while the stories of our explorers and early settlers provide colour and fascinating detail to their tale. One of their most significant displays is the Skyring Clocks, a collection of unique handmade 'skeleton' clocks which show their inside workings. Several times a year the Pine Rivers Heritage Museum creates or hosts new temporary exhibitions on a variety of themes.
