
The Outer Barcoo Interpretation Centre features the world class fossil exhibit of Isisfordia Duncani - reported to be the ancestor of all modern crocodilians. This wonderful exhibit showcases time back to 100 million years ago, as well as illustrating the changes in flora and fauna from the surrounding shire. Isisfordia Duncani is a unique crocodile fossil and not to be missed. The Outer Barcoo centre also has a cafeteria and souvenirs.

How To Get There
Isisford is situated in central western Queensland, approximately 1,200 kilometres from Brisbane and 700 kilometres inland from Rockhampton. The town is approximately 120 kilometres south-east from Longreach and around the same distance west of Blackall.
