Description
Balmoral Cemetery was gazetted in 1865 and opened around 1874 and is a fine example of a Victorian era cemetery. The Friends of Balmoral Cemetery was formed in 2001 to protect and enhance this important historic cemetery. Exciting glimpses of Queensland's history can be seen through the monuments of pioneers, politicians and local identities. Guided tours are available by prior arrangement.
