Food, Wine and Rainforest Tour

Food Trail Tours - Atherton Tablelands, Cairns, Queensland

This guided tour from Cairns visits the World Heritage Wet Tropics Rainforest and the diverse landscapes of the Atherton Tablelands, with many opportunities to savour flavours of the region.

There's plenty of time to indulge your taste buds with locally produced cheeses, chocolates, exotic fruit wines, coffee, macadamia nuts, seafood and good old North Queensland hospitality.

Let yourself be taken off the beaten track, behind the scenes, and tour plantations, where you hear the stories behind the foods and taste the end product. Opportunities are available for you to purchase at the farm gate.

Although food and wine production is a big part of the day, it also includes an entertaining and comprehensive tour narration including the history of the region. You will also visit old townships, rich in cultural and architectural history.

On short guided walks into the rainforest you will see amazing trees and have opportunities to spot local wildlife. You will also experience the award winning Devonshire tea, at the Lake Barrine Teahouse

Groups are small and we avoid crowds so you can interact, make new friends and truly enjoy the essence of the Atherton Tablelands.
