Description
Unwind and relax with a visit to the Grand Colonial 'Boonara Homestead' built in 1862 for David Jones of Department Store fame. Enjoy a country Devonshire Tea and a guided Tour which includes all the intriguing 'century old' stories from the mid 1800s when Boonara Station was a holding of over 172,000 acres. Lunches are available for group bookings. Self-contained Cottage also available.

Children:Children are welcome. They can say hello to "Clyde' the placid old Clydesdale horse and feed him some carrots; take a ride in the old Chev mail truck; take a walk down to the creek or just enjoy the wide open spaces.

How To Get There:
The location of Boonara Homestead is right on the Burnett Highway, just a 10 minute drive north of Goomeri in the beautiful South Burnett. Look for the little white church next to the Highway and the turn off to Boonara Homestead is just past it...Homestead can be seen from Highway. Only three hours from Brisbane; two hours from Sunshine Coast; 50 minutes from Gympie, Gayndah and Kingaroy, one hour from the Bunya Mountains; 20 minutes from Murgon.
