Tour Access:
Adventure Sailing - Whitsundays Sailing Adventures based in the Whitsundays is located at Airlie Beach on the Queensland coast, approximately half way between Brisbane and Cairns. Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport is serviced by Jetstar and Virgin Blue. The terminal is only a 40 minute coach ride from Airlie Beach. There are also regular flights into Hamilton Island Airport. From Hamilton Island it is only a 45 minute ferry ride to Shute Harbour, where air conditioned coaches meet every ferry for the 20 minute transfer to Airlie Beach. A fun alternative is to take a 10 minute Island Air Taxi's light aircraft transfer from Hamilton Island to Whitsunday Airport. From here it is only a 10 minute ride in a cab to Airlie Beach. Other options include road transport by coach or car and rail access via Proserpine station.

Where accommodation is stated as Single, the rate is for one persons stay in a single bed in a shared cabin. Where accommodation is stated as Double, the rate is for one persons stay in a shared or private double cabin.

Adventure Sailing - Whitsundays Sailing Adventures reserves the right to substitute vessels without notice at any time for any reason. Clients should note that adventure travel involves risk. Whilst they make every effort to safeguard clients, Adventure Sailing - Whitsundays Sailing Adventures cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss due to the actions of clients which are beyond their control. All cruises are subject to weather and therefore cancellations, changes to cruise itinerary or duration due to weather, illness or to ensure passenger safety will not be refunded. They recommend that clients take out travel insurance.

Further Details:
What to bring - only bring a small soft bag for your sailing holiday and pack a beach towel, t-shirts, shorts, swimwear, a hat, warm clothing for the winter months, a pair of light shoes, insect repellent and sunscreen. The following vessels are licensed (no Bring Your Own): Derwent Hunter, Kiana and Pacific Sunrise. For all other vessels (Bring Your Own) alcohol and soft drinks can be purchased prior to departure and brought aboard to enjoy during the cruise at no extra charge.

Adventure Sailing - Whitsundays Sailing Adventures and its related bodies corporate, its officers, employees and agents are not the owner or operator of any vessel on which any passengers sail. Accordingly, it shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any injury to person or property which is suffered or sustained by any passenger as a result of participating in any of its sailing adventures, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Prices are valid at time of publishing for the period 1 April 2011 until 31 March 2012.

How To Get There:
Directions to the Adventure Sailing - Whitsundays Sailing Adventures office: Take the Bruce Highway towards Airlie Beach, turn right onto Strathdickie Road, near Proserpine River bridge turn first right onto Shute Harbour Road, travel along Shute Harbour Road for approximately 20 minutes into Airlie Beach, go over the hill into Airlie then turn left at roundabout into the main Central Business District of Airlie Beach. After passing The Esplanade on your left, Whitsundays Sailing Adventure's Sailing office is on the left hand side of the road (Level 2/293 Shute Harbour Road), near the corner of Shute Harbour Road and the Esplanade, proceed up the stairs next to Brumby's Bakery.

Prices are based on multi-share accommodation unless otherwise specified. Prices do not include air fares.

Weather:
All cruises are subject to weather and the vessel operator's discretion.
At certain times of year dangerous jellyfish inhabit these waters and passengers should take care for their own safety. Passengers entering the water do so at their own risk and the owners or operators of the vessel will not be liable for any personal injury, illness, death or any other consequences whatsoever of passengers being stung by jellyfish. To minimise this risk you will be provided with a full length protective Stinger Suit to wear whilst swimming and snorkelling during the cruise.
