Admission Costs and Entry Information
The Charleville Historic House Museum has a collection of historic artifacts ranging from photographs and furniture to old vehicles and newspapers.
A wonderful example of early Queensland architecture, it was built in 1888 as the original National Bank building of Charleville. Many of the original features still remain, including four marble fireplaces, original furniture and bric-a-brac from across the region.
The grounds include an amazing collection of early machinery, including an original Rail Ambulance, Denis Fire Engine, Marshall Portable Steam Engine and replica Cobb and Co Coach.
Take the time to visit the Museum and enjoy the history of the Outback. Meet the local people who are determined to record Charleville's history for future generations. On some days you will meet George, who will entertain you with this Auto Harp.
Markets are also held in the grounds on the first Saturday of each month.
