The inaugural Bribie Festival will be held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Bribie Bridge opening on 19 October 1963. The week long festival will involve all local community groups with a variety of activities to be held at various locations across the Island. Activities will commence with the Bridge Opening ceremony at the Sylvan Beach end of the bridge. The festival will close with a Family Fun Day and concert at the AFL grounds on Sunday. The Bribie Festival is planned annual event to be held in October each year.
