Tolga Woodworks is one of the most prestigious woodworking centres in North Queensland, with a fine collection of woodwork and craft. The Gallery features work in Queensland speciality timbers with delicate lace bowls, rugged eucalypt burl bowls, flowing wall panels, twisted mushrooms and carved boots. Functional cheese boards, salad servers, jewellery boxes, desk accessories along with contemporary and traditional hand crafted furniture, delight all who enter this gallery. The craftsmanship here is superb, the style and imagination inspiring.
... moreThe work of local artisans working in other mediums is also on display in the gallery. Hand beaten iron fruit bowls, forged stainless steel zany stilettos, the 'iconic' thong and Ned Kellys. Pottery in colours of the reef, the rainforest and the outback, decorated in gold leaf; colourful blown glass vases and bowls, leather boxes, original watercolours, jewellery pieces, silk, books and cards.
The Cafe serves simple but excellent food with a seasonal menu using locally grown produce. Summer salads, woodfired bread with Mediterranean vegetables, winter soups, cakes, bakes, local espresso coffee and tea available as an all day menu.

Tolga Woodworks is located 90 kilometres from Cairns on the beautiful Atherton Tablelands. Access is by various highways from Cairns for self-drive visitors. The Gallery is located on the Kennedy Highway five kilometres north of the township of Atherton.
