Further Details:
This event is a true community event in that it is put together by local people, indigenous and non-indigenous, who volunteer their time and skills to make a difference. They do it to help stop the stories of culture being lost forever, in the march of time. While they aim to charge commercial prices, it is still just a young event, and ask forgiveness in advance, for rustic elements of the presentation, that they have not perfected yet.
How To Get There:
The Drumley Walk starts in Beaudesert - about one hour drive south of Brisbane (International Airport) or one hour also from Coolangatta (domestic airport). Regular bus services run to Beaudesert from Brisbane transit Centre, and Gold Coast Transit Centre. The Finish of The Drumley Walk - The Yugambeh Corroboree - is held at James Overall Park, Brighton Parade, Southport, on the Gold Coast. There is parking alongside the park 45 minutes drive from Coolangatta Airport and 80 minutes from Brisbane Airport.
