The Cultural Centre, Townsville showcases the culture and history of the local Wulgurukaba and Bindal people and the diverse Aboriginal and Torres Strait communities to the world. Located in Townsville's tourist attraction precinct, the Cultural Centre operates a fine arts gallery and gift store with a wide selection of paintings, prints, artefacts and souvenirs. The Centre also hosts regular art exhibitions and seasonal cultural markets to visitors and locals of the region.

The Townsville Cultural Centre offers visitors a display of modern and traditional arts and crafts within a fine art gallery. You will also find a range of cultural artefacts within a historical interpretive gallery - free for visitors to enjoy. To maximise your visit, guided tours, art workshops and cultural activities are available upon booking (for example museum tours, art classes, weaving workshops and dance performances). Please contact the operator's events team if you wish to enquire about a cultural visit for your group.
How To Get There
Follow the signs to the Townsville City Centre and located on Flinders Street East, next to Reef HQ Great Barrier Reef Aquarium, you will find the Townsville Cultural Centre.
Service Facilities
Group activities and workshops are available upon application (up to 100 guests).
Admission is free of charge, however a gold coin donation is appreciated.
