21 - 29 June 2013
Tambo is a cohesive community with a strong 'sense of place' that is reflected in its attractive main street, quality social infrastructure and successful community events and organisations.
The sesquicentenaries' celebrations will be a significant event in the history of Tambo, and Tambo is in a position to deliver a unique experience spanning over a ten day period including a street party with floats, street theatre and music. Local sporting events such as a night rodeo, a golf day, social cricket and a polocrosse exhibition game will welcome participation and the opportunity to showcase what they have on offer.
Their Australian Heritage will be celebrated with a shearing display and morning 'smoko' event and a Significant Objects exhibition in the Grassland Art Gallery will narrate the history of Tambo and its pioneers.
