19 - 21 October
The Tamborine Mountain Scarecrow Festival is a free family oriented event, mid spring in the comfortable climate of Mt Tamborine. Over the weekend, over 200 scarecrows appear - traditional, humorous, scary, celebrity and more, competing for great prize money. It encourages lots of laughter and admiration from the young, old and in-between.
But that's not all - local entertainers, face painters and buskers bring the live entertainment to Main Street on Saturday and Gallery Walk on Sunday. TMAC will host an exhibition where their artists and artisans actively display their skills including painting, book binding, felting, pottery, doll making and sculpture at the iconic MT Brewery. On the Saturday night let down your hair and kick up your heels at the Bush Dance run by Transition Tamborine Mountain featuring Bushland Boogie Bush Band. Enjoy many other attractions - wineries, breweries, local produce, antique shops, art galleries, cafes and picnic areas.
