Essentially an enplein artist and widely travelled, cris-crossing Australia in search of subjects for her art held throughout the world in private and public collections.
With more than 35 years experience exhibiting her work Dr Ditchburn is formally trained with four degrees including a PhD. With over 50 awards and 45 solo exhibitions she is invited to judge many art competitions in north Queensland. Sylvia also tutors small groups for workshops on request and is an Artist on Tour for Flying Arts Program. Sylvia's en Plein air painting excursions in the beautiful sub tropical environs of Townsville during the cooler months, are always popular.
