Description
The Story Bridge Adventure Climb is a soft adventure experience walk on top of the iconic Story Bridge. It's Brisbane's must do leisure experience and the most spectacular way to discover the city and surrounding areas.
The breathtaking panoramic views stretch out across to Moreton Bay and Islands and west across the Scenic Rim. The two and a half hour experience includes a journey up over the bridges superstructure to the 80 metre summit and is only one of three such experiences in the world. The climb includes all safety equipment and full commentary on the history of the bridge, the city and surrounding areas.
Now, for the first time there is another choice of climb, with Abseil Climb. Now not only can you climb the bridge, you can abseil down one of its pylons into Captain Burke Park at its base. This is the only experience of its kind in the world.

For the entire duration of the climb, climbers are attached to a static line with experienced Climb Leaders ready to support and encourage those who are a little anxious.
Peak climb times are Dawn, Twilight and Weekends. Dawn Tours: Climbing in the cool, crisp morning air as the city slowly comes to life under the influence of the sun's first rays.
Day Tours: No better way to spend a leisurely morning or afternoon as your leader identifies the city's landmarks. Take in the 360 degree view from Moreton Bay and Islands to the Glasshouse Mountains west to Mount Coot-Tha and south to Lamington National Park.
Twilight Tours: See the setting sun light up the glass and steel of the city's high-rise. Watch as Brisbane's perennially blue skies finally give way to the coming night. Follow the snakes of light created by the rush hour traffic.
Night Tours: With the bridge and the city now fully lit, marvel at the reflections captured in the glassy, black surface of the river. Abseil Tours: Add some extra adventure with your morning climb and abseil 30 metres down the anchor pier. Please refer to the operator's website for more information.
The picturesque Glasshouse Mountains are visible to the north with the world-heritage listed Lamington National Park to the south. To the east enjoy views across Moreton Bay to some of the world's largest sand islands. To the west find Mount Coot-tha and the lush Brisbane Forest Park. Looking down you'll see the Brisbane River snaking its way to the Pacific Ocean.
At the same time, climbers can eyeball the city's tallest buildings. Dawn climbers will capture the beauty of sunrise over the bay, while dusk climbers will see the setting sun reflected in the glass and steel of the city's high-rise apartment and office buildings.
