Not only is Reef HQ an award winning major tourist attraction in North Queensland it is also the education facility for the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, and home to thousands of incredible fish, corals and North Queensland first dedicated turtle hospital.
The Reef HQ Aquarium Turtle Hospital is designed to rehabilitate sick and injured turtles so they can be released back into the ocean, enhancing their long term survival and sustainability as a threatened species.
The huge aquarium acts as window to the reef and boasts a range of displays and exhibits to stimulate the visitors curiosity so they learn about the Great Barrier Reef, even on a dive trip a visitor would rarely see so many creatures in such detail.
