The Outback Festival, held biennially in Winton Queensland, is a unique and highly successful celebration of all things Australian, and is a shining example of the spirit of the Outback. Named one of the top 100 'Things to do in Australia before you die' by the Australian Traveller's Magazine.

The event showcases the very best in entertainment, arts, community spirit and unique Outback hospitality, and shines the spotlight on Winton over the five day Festival period.

Attracts 4000 visitors to the region each Festival, the event is the focal point of the community's social calendar, uniting businesses, groups and individuals alike who proudly work together to welcome visitors from across Australia and overseas.

The Outback Festival was a winner of the Outback Queensland Tourism Awards for Festivals and Events in 2010 and Finalist at the Queensland Regional Achievement and Community Awards in the category 'Community of the Year' Award.
