Join the HMS Pandora Gun Team at 11am and 2.30pm daily and learn how to load and fire a cannon like they did in the 1700s. You can also join them for in-depth, free presentations on the second Tuesday of each month on a range of interesting topics, from dinosaurs to isopods, and Townsville history to climate change.... less
Children are welcome. Children under 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
The Museum of Tropical Queensland has complete access for guests with disabilities. A wheelchair is available in the foyer. The Museum has lifts and toilets for the disabled.
Parking is available directly outside the Museum.
The licensed restaurant provides all day snacks and light meals.
How To Get There
Follow signs for 'Ferry and Reef Wonderland' in city centre and along Flinders Street East. Drive around the one-way system and the Museum is the very large blue and steel building on your left with the big spider, Spinderella, hanging over the road and Nibbles the dinosaur hiding in the garden.
They do not accept foreigner currency traveller's cheques.
