Step back in time where everyday early outback life is on display. The small but delightful Morven Historical Museum and Miniature Building Display contains some fascinating memorabilia.
A must see is the miniature replica pioneer township. Painstakingly recreated over 15 years, buildings that have long gone have been preserved. The attention to detail of the buildings and the early building techniques makes this display a unique outback attraction.... more
The Museum also has a collection of Aboriginal grinding stones, stone axe heads, spears, coolamons and boomerangs.
In the grounds there is the 'tin hut', built of flattened kerosene tins, which is a testament to outback ingenuity. Built as housing during the great depression of the 1930's, these huts were common homes for pensioners. With only a few remaining today, Morven is fortunate to have one on display.... less

How To Get There
If travelling from Charleville, Morven is 83 kilometres east travelling on the Warrego Highway. The Morven Museum is situated within the Morven town precinct on the left hand side of the road.
If travelling from Brisbane, Toowoomba or Mitchell, the Morven Museum is within the Morven town precinct on the right hand side of the road, after crossing the rail line.
