Lights, Sound and Action will guarantee to delight the young and young-at-heart at M & K Model Railways. You follow the travels of model trains past cities of replica German buildings, through to the 'dom' in Hamburg, a fairground wonderland of carnival rides, dodgem cars, revolving tea cups, ice skaters and much more.
... moreCable cars, waterfalls and windmills are but a few of the attractions to delight the visitor. Church bells, fire engines, sawmill in operation, a cuckoo bird calling, are just some of the sounds that add to the realism.
A truly unique experience full of surprises - visitors are encouraged to find the escaped mountain goats, the lady hanging out her washing, men surrounded by wolves, a vehicle accident complete with police and ambulance, a cow trying to get out of the paddock and even a cat on the roof. During Hervey Bay's Christmas Lights celebration and through to January, spectacular lighting effects will enchant night visitors to this magical fairyland.

Disabled:
Disabled access is available including wheelchair ramps over railway lines. Door openings made to allow wheelchair access and guide dogs are permitted.

Children under eight years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
Entity Restrictions
No running allowed through the displays. Maximum 25 to 30 people outside at any one time. The complex can accommodate up to 100 people at any one time.
General Comments
The 40-foot by 20-foot layout in an airconditioned building, features Bavarian snowy mountains, on top of which is the famous European Castle Neuschwanstein, built during King Ludwig's reign. More than 4,000 hours have been spent constructing some 300 miniature buildings, while the 1,000 feet of track meandering around and through the cities are all powered by approximately 20 kilometres of electrical cables.
