Description

USQ welcomes this year's Artist-in-Residence, Kamal Swami, an Indian artist based in Jaisalmere, Rajasthan who paints in the traditional miniature style.

His painting style has evolved from sources of Mughal and Persian influences together with local Mewar traditions resulting in the unique body of work represented in this exhibition.

The exhibition will feature miniature works on paper and canvas by Kamal in collaboration with local artist Catherine Parker, as well as selected works by Australian artists who have visited India and Kamal's studio through the Drawn to India Arts Tours.
