Carnarvon Gorge Walking Tours offer two amazing tours to Carnarvon Gorge. The Carnarvon Great Walk and our Outback Explorer.

Carnarvon Gorge is a spectacular gorge system of cool rainforest, mosses, ferns and creeks and is situated on the dividing range 720 kilometres west of Brisbane.

The gorge boasts some of Australia's best Aboriginal rock art and there are over 20 kilometres of walking tracks that gives us access to these amazing rock art sites as well as waterfalls, rock pools, amphitheatres, caves and majestic lookouts.

Explore the parks many sights including the Moss Garden, the Art Gallery and Cathedral Cave to name a few. The wildlife is plentiful and varied and there are over 170 species of birdlife.

The tracks are easy walking and suitable for most age groups.

Carnarvon Gorge - Five Day Outback Explorer

This five day outback explorer tour starts on a Monday from Brisbane and returns on Friday afternoon. Your accommodation starts with a two night farm stay in a homestead in Arcadia Valley followed by one nights remote camping deep into the gorge and one nights camping at Takarakka Resort.

Carnarvon Great Walk

Carnarvon National Park and Carnarvon Gorge is located 700 kilometres west of Brisbane. Its landscape consists of towering sandstone cliffs, cool fern lined side gorges and broad sweeping tablelands.

This amazing but challenging six day guided bushwalk is done as a circuit starting and returning to the main track entrance. You will see a diverse range of flora and fauna, namely silver top stringy barks, ancient cycads, wallabies and possum gliders.

Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk

This 54 kilometre walk links the two National Parks of Lamington and Springbrook via the Numimbah Valley. This through walk is fully supported and you can choose to camp or to stay in more luxurious lodge accommodation. Clients will only need to carry a small day pack but campers will need to carry a sleeping bag and mat on day two. Each day we move your luggage on to your accommodation.

We allow three days to complete the walk which starts at O'Reilly's in the Green Mountain section of Lamington National Park and ends at The Settlement Campground in Springbrook National Park. We trek through the ancient volcanic landscape of the Tweed Volcano; through lush sub-tropical rainforest, and past pristine streams, creeks and waterfalls.
