Chinese New Year Celebrations will be held in early February this year. A highlight of the celebrations will be performers from Bundaberg's sister city, Nanning in China. Taiko Japanese drumming, Chinese dancing and some amazing lanterns featuring one made for the Year of the Snake will also add to the entertainment. There will be a wide range of food vendors and markets including stalls specialising in authentic Chinese charms will add to the experiences for adults, children and families.

Other highlights of the free entertainment will include an exhilarating display of vibrant Dragon and Lion Dancing by Bundaberg's own PCYC Blazers, with the night culminating in an amazing display of fireworks, emanating from a barge strategically located on the Burnett River.
