Description

The Bloomin' Beautiful Blackbutt Festival is an innovation of Bloomin' Beautiful Blackbutt Festival Incorporated that focuses on and highlights the agricultural and historical assets of their community and supported by artistic and cultural activities. The Bloomin' Beautiful Blackbutt Festival is held annually over the second week and weekend in September. The festival is a showcase for art and culture with art exhibitions and workshops, performances by local and national musicians and performers.

Local wine, cheese and products add to the festival experience. The garden is also showcased with beautiful displays and market stalls. The festival celebrates art, garden and country and showcases Blackbutt as the gateway to the South Burnett. The Bloomin' Beautiful Blackbutt Festival is entering its third year in 2011. Bloomin' Beautiful Blackbutt Festival was the winner in 2010 Australia Day Awards for Event of the Year in the South Burnett Regional Council Australia Day Awards.

How To Get There:
The timber towns of Blackbutt and Benarkin are located on top of the Blackbutt Range at the eastern gateway to Queensland's South Burnett region. They're approximately 140 kilometres north-west of Brisbane on Highway 17.
They can be reached by following: the D'Aguilar Highway from Caboolture, the Brisbane Valley Highway through Esk, the New England Highway via Yarraman, the D'Aguilar Highway from Kingaroy.
