The Gold Coast Hinterland Walk includes fantastic hiking in the Lamington and Springbrook National Parks, located inland from the Gold Coast. The Gold Coast is about one hour south of Brisbane.
On this trip you walk from one accommodation to the next while they move your luggage ahead for you. You will walk independently without a guide, using their marked maps and easy-to-follow Walk Notes. You need to form your own group of two or more people and can choose your own starting date.
This is a World Heritage Area where new plants are being found, classified and named even today. Massive strangler figs, ancient Antarctic beech, red cedar, rosewood and booyongs tower overhead whilst hundreds of different species of palms, vines, ferns and orchids flourish beneath.
