The UAV Outback Challenge is an internationally renowned competition that pits teams from around the world against one another to find a lost bushwalker, Outback Joe, using a robot aircraft. The team that finds Joe and drops him a water bottle wins AUD50,000!

High-school students from around Australia will also compete for AUD10,000 worth of prizes in their own Airborne Delivery Challenge. The competition aims to inspire the next generation of students to apply their science, technology, engineering and mathematics skills, coupled with teamwork and presentation expertise, to demonstrate in a fun way one of the many civilian applications for unmanned aerial vehicles.
