Cancellation Information:
Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a 100 per cent fare. Alteration to tour dates within 24 hours of travel may incur AUD20.00 administration fee per person. Travel and Sickness Insurance is therefore strongly recommended. If fuel prices become excessive since commencement of season pricing , THT reserves the right to implement a small fuel levy payable on board.

Discounts are also provided to travellers taking a second tour, which does not have to be booked with the first tour enabling the discerning traveller to assess the product and then commit later at their convenience.

Tropical Horizons specialises in full, half and overnight tours to the fully independent traveller and also group charters. Language interpretive guides can also easily be provided upon request.
Tropical Horizons operates a fleet of very well maintained Deluxe Coaches. They insist that their drivers are experienced, courteous and professional.

Hotel Pick-up:
Pickups for guests at hotels, motels and caravan parks for Kuranda tours, available in Cairns Central Business District. Pick up Northern Beaches and Palm Cove for Kuranda Tours on a separate Tour Code. No Tablelands pickups except Port Douglas.

Tariff Information:
Pensioner rates apply to Australian and New Zealand citizens only. 'Super-Saver' discount is five per cent and applies to second tour.

Kuranda, the Tablelands and Skybury Coffee

Tablelands Coffe Plantation

Enjoy a great day touring the Tablelands. This tour combines the iconic Kuranda Scenic Train and/or Skyrail experiences with the magnificent Tablelands. Enjoy travel to Kuranda Village, a little township in the rainforest, famous for its arts, crafts and indigenous artefacts.

Then beyond Kuranda, the experienced guide will show you amazing Tablelands including Skybury, Queensland's oldest and largest coffee plantation. Enjoy The Coffee Indulgence Tour, a fabulous lunch in the Plantation restaurant amidst beautiful panoramic views of the Tablelands.

In the afternoon visit Granite Gorge where past volcanic activity has pushed up huge granite Boulders. This is home to native animals and you can take a swim, feed wallabies or walk through the stone wilderness. Skyrail home with the afternoon light behind you .

Daintree Dreamtime

Daintree Mossman Gorge

This Eco-tourism certified tour heads north to give you a memorable day of spectacular scenery, adventure and attractions. First thing in the morning enjoy a morning tea and damper, then take the electric shuttle into the Gorge for an indigenous experience like no other. You will learn and experience the stories and a guided walk by the original inhabitants of the Gorge learn about their bush medicines, dreamtime stories and ancient life in the Gorge. Enjoy some free time at the Gorge to enjoy a swim or walk with a Tropical Horizons guide. Then we travel onto the Daintree River, enjoy a wildlife cruise on the mighty river. An experienced river guide will reveal the special wildlife of the Daintree River, the domain of the estuarine crocodile, tree snakes, pythons, waterbirds and butterflies. Enjoy a fabulous Barramundi lunch and tropical fruit tasting at the Daintree Tea House. A short tour of the Daintree Village and timber museum. Finally the day is completed by a brief tour of Port Douglas township and then return to Cairns via Palm Cove.

Cape Tribulation and Daintree Rainforest

Cape Tribulation Beach

On this eco-certified tour discover the unique wilderness area of the Wet Tropics listed rainforests of Cape Tribulation, Daintree and Mossman Gorge.

Their guided tour commences with a unforgettable journey alongside the Coral Coast and a short visit to Port Douglas famous Flagstaff Hill and Four mile beach. Then onto the mighty Daintree River for a one hour eco-cruise spotting wildlife and crocodiles, inhabitants of the mangrove-lined riverbanks.

The journey takes us further into the Daintree Rainforest world heritage area. Their guide will give you a fascinating insight into this ancient rainforest world heritage area. Enjoy a relaxing rainforest lunch alongside Cooper Creek (optional swim here).

They journey on to Cape Tribulation area for a beach and boardwalk guided experience. Relax, enjoy, listen and soak up this unique area. Finally we catch the ferry across the Daintree River once again for a guided walk of the new Mossman Gorge and Centre. An electric buggy will quietly guide them into the Gorge where the guide will provide with a guided walk (optional swim is possible here). Finish the tour with tea and damper at the Centre before they travel back to Cairns along the picturesque Coral Coast.

Waterfalls and Paronella Park Tour

A most scenic, small group tour of the Southern Cairns Highlands viewing extinct crater Lake Barrine and all the Waterfalls Circuit, guided walks in World Heritage Rainforest spotting for wildlife including the tree kangaroo. Our natural and private viewing spot at Tarzalli Lakes where we usually see the normally shy and elusive Platypus. Next, stop at Mungalli Biodynamic Dairy for cheese and yogurt tasting. Enjoy a quality two course lunch in their own private gazebo adjacent to Mungalli Falls. Finally onto Paronella Park's Heritage Gardens and Castle ruins. Ma Mu Misty Mountains and Wooroonooran Adventures

Josephine Falls

First stop of the day they catch a unique Australian Wildlife experience at the Tropical Zoo. As you meander through the award winning Zoo and tropical gardens discover fascinating and rare animals, a great opportunity for an up close experience. Cuddle a koala, feed a kangaroo, see giant crocodiles and enjoy great wildlife presentations. This eco-certified tour heads south on a path less travelled to the protected wilderness of the Wooroonooran National Park. Your eco certified tour starts at Josephine Falls for a dip in a cool mountain stream. Have a fabulous sit down lunch at Roscoes Restaurant for an Australian-Italian hot buffet.

The afternoon brings you to the Ma Mu Rainforest Canopy Walkway, where you can stand high in the tall timbered rainforest with spectacular vistas. Next stop is at the "Boulders" to see deep water ravines and hear of the Aboriginal legend of Oolana. This is a great Australian outdoors experience.
