Description
The Drovers Camp Festival is a unique outback flavoured festival. Come to yarn with the old drovers and hear their amazing stories.
A fun-filled weekend. Friday opens with a riotous street parade including humorous floats, musicians, horses and coaches culminating in a fun-filled, lively night full of entertainment. The street parade will be followed by the Xstrata Mail Race. To top this weekend off, Camooweal will be hosting its Drovers Ball. During the weekend wander through the historical town and enjoy the top class art and photographic exhibitions and competition. Be entertained at the Drover's Campsite.

How To Get There
The Drovers Camp Festival is located approximately one kilometre from Camooweal, on the Barkly highway between Mount Isa and Camooweal (189 kilometres from Mount Isa). The access road is on the cemetery road to the left hand side as you travel from Mount Isa. There are two large highway signs on both ends of the block. There is also signage along the roadside from Mount Isa to Camooweal as well as from Camooweal to the Northern Territory border for visitors travelling from these directions.
