Description

Tara Festival of Culture and Camel Races is a three day event in which visitors can experience a unique blend of multi-cultural entertainment and camel races. Several countries of the world are represented in cuisine, arts and culture, providing an opportunity for education and interaction for everybody, with free workshops also on offer. Camel races will be held in conjunction with the multicultural festival. The event is designed to be an affordable weekend which encourages free sites for camping, caravans and motorhomes.

How To Get There

From Brisbane: Take the Warrego Highway exit off of the Ipswich Motorway, following to Toowoomba. Pass through Toowoomba continuing on the Warrego Highway to Dalby. Turn left at the lights, taking the Moonie Highway for approximately 44 kilometres, cross over a grid, immediately turn right to Tara (Surat Developmental Road) for 44 kilometres.
From Moonie: head approximately 45 kilometres north up the Leichhardt Highway, turning right at The Gums intersection. Travel the Surat Developmental Road for approximately 28 kilometres into Tara.
From Surat: travel into Glenmorgan, continue straight along the Surat Developmental Road for approximately 87 kilometres leading into Tara.
