Description
The annual Noorama Picnic Races are held each year on the second Saturday in April. Located 95 kilometres from Cunnamulla in south-west Queensland, the occasion sees the locals join with visitors from near and far for a fabulous day of outback racing and bush hospitality.
The event was first held in 1966 and has remained a highlight for the district ever since. The day features a five race program with on-course bookmakers, a strongly contested Fashions On The Field competition, full catering and bar facilities and after races music and dancing.

How To Get There:
From Cunnamulla, head south on the Bourke road for approximately 50 kilometres. Turn left onto Job's Gate Road. The race track will be on the right hand side. Total distance from Cunnamulla is 96 kilometres.
