Situated in the heart of Queensland's Gold Coast, Lakelands Golf Club is Jack Nickalus' first signature designed course in Australia. Open to the public, Monday through Friday, the multiple tee positions make the course user friendly yet challenging, whatever the standard of golf you play.

Lakelands has been awarded Australia's best-conditioned public access golf course several times in its 13 years of operation, establishing it as the preferred venue for Australia's leading corporates. Lakelands has been recognized for Environmental Excellence through Audubon International. It is one of the four courses in Australia to be certified as an ""Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary"".

Lakelands also provides private and group tuition from globally trained instructors with PGA accreditation. If practice is all you require, Lakelands Golf Club boasts and outstanding practice facility, featuring chipping and putting greens, five distance target areas and sheltered practice bays for varying weather conditions.

Entity Facilities

The Club House was designed by Ainsley Bell and Murchison and constructed by Walter Construction Group. With expansive views of the golf course and the Gold Coast skyline, it is a golfer's home away from home. A feature unique to Lakelands is the halfway facility named "The Terrace" which is conveniently situated overlooking the 10th Hole.

Signatures Restaurant is open from 7.00 p.m. till 3.30 p.m.

Drink Cart (one per nine holes) hours are from 8.00 a.m. until 4.00 p.m. An on-course drink cart operates seven days per week for your convenience and offers an excellent selection of food and beverages. Course Marshals are on-course seven days to ensure an enjoyable round of golf. The greens are renovated annually, to ensure the best golfing experience all year round.

Lakelands' Golf Shop provides new standards for customer satisfaction. The extensive range of exclusive golf merchandise combined with unrivalled customer service provides a shopping experience not available to golfers anywhere else. Public locker rooms and facilities are available. The private Member's locker room features sauna, spa and therapeutic shower facilities. Lakelands is able to offer facilities designed to provide the ultimate in service for conferences, functions and weddings.

Entity Restrictions

Strict dress regulations apply including a shirt with collar, tailored shorts or slacks, no denim or jeans permitted on the golf course or in the clubhouse. Golf shoes with soft spikes only, or runners. No smoking permitted in the clubhouse.

General Comments

Designed by one of the greatest golf players of all time, Jack Nicklaus, and built by Leighton Contractors under the watchful eye of the Golden Bear Construction team. 18 hole (par 72) international standard championship golf course. Lakelands is immaculately spruced. The Windsor Green couch fairways are neat and well groomed, while the hardy Bermuda-strain tifdwarf greens are firm and roll honestly. Five tee markers, ranging from 6492 metre (black), 6142 metre (blue), 5814 metre (white), 5334 metre (red) and 4685 metre (yellow). There are extensive practice facilities with five target greens and undercover hitting bays for inclement weather.

How To Get There

Lakelands Golf Club is located on Gooding Drive in Merrimac. From the Gold Coast Highway turn left into Hooker Boulevard (also known as Broadbeach - Nerang Road). This intersection is fairly easy to find as it is the road alongside which Pacific Fair Shopping Centre runs. Continue on this road for a few kilometres passing the Surfers Paradise Golf Club on your left hand side. Veer to the left into Gooding Drive. You will then approach a roundabout with Robina Parkway. Continue through this roundabout and turn left into the golf club. When travelling from Brisbane, head south along the Pacific Highway and take the Godding Drive (Gold Coast - Springbrook) exit. Continue on this road for a few kilometres and turn right into the golf club.
