How To Get There:
From the Bruce Highway, take the Pomona/Kin Kin exit. Drive through the town of Pomona, over the railway line then turn left and follow the signs to Boreen Point (about 20 kilometres).
From Noosa Heads, turn right at Tewantin School and follow the signs to Boreen Point (about 20 kilometres from the school).
As you come into Boreen Point, you will pass the pub on your right. Take the first left into Hector street, then second right into Toolara Street. Number 11 is on the right with the big kayak trailer out the front.
Please note that Global Positioning Systems (GPS's) are not 100 per cent reliable in the area around Tewantin.

Meet at 11 Toolara Street, Boreen Point, to get your equipment for the day. Drive out to the National Park kayak launch site and they settle you into your kayak, showing you the map and teaching you all the basic skills for the paddle across Lake Cootharaba to Kinaba. From here, you are free to explore where you want within the Noosa Everglades. Enjoy the company of the mighty Noosa River and weave in and out of the small islands which dot the northern reaches of Fig Tree Lake. Test your paddling stamina and head up to the iconic Harry's Hut for a swim in the tea coloured waters, or perhaps you plan to use the kayak to get to a wilder bushwalking track within the Cooloola Recreation Area. The possibilities are endless!
