Description
The annual Hervey Bay Triathlon is open to, and appeals to, all levels of athletic ability with 26 individual and six team categories - while the event boasts over AUD25,000 in prizes it still provides a friendly and enjoyable multisports experiance for competitors from first-timer's to Olympians.
The course for the triathlon features a 1.5 kilometre swim in the pristine waters of Hervey Bay, followed by two loops of a scenic 20 kilometre beachside cycle course and concluding with a flat and shady 10 kilometre run along the foreshore bikepath.

Access Car
A handy three and a half hour travelling time for most of Queensland's population, Hervey Bay is accessible by private car, bus, train or even direct jet flights from southern capitals. The race venue is adjacent the Wetside water park at the ocean end of Main Street. Off street parking is available via Hillyard Street.
