Saddle up for the ride of your life at the annual Capella Camel Races. The event sees amateur competitors compete throughout the day for a spot in the final to win prize money and the trophy as well as the sheer thrill of racing a camel in the famous Australian outback. The camels are trained racing camels and all jockeys are strictly amateur.
... moreThe bar operates from midday to midnight and live music entertains throughout the day. The event is a great day for families with good quality food available, as well as craft stalls, amusement rides and fashions on the field. The party continues at night with the final held under lights plus live music to midnight!
Free camping.
All funds raised benefit the Students of Capella State High School.
