Description
The City to Coast Community Bike Ride is not a race but a chance to have a relaxed ride and enjoy the scenery of the coastal area and the sea. The route closely follows the Burnett River before turning inland and continuing through cane and small crop fields, eventually making its way to the Esplanade.
... moreFrom there the riders will ride alongside the beach for about another five kilometres before reaching the finish line at the southern parklands at Burnett Heads. When they arrive there will be a free sausage sizzle at South Head Parklands at Burnett Heads for those participating in the ride and the ride should not take longer than two hours to complete. At the end of the ride make sure to stay and have an ice-cream and there will also be a coffee van on-site.

The ride will have Police support and appropriate road signage and will be manned at various road junctions to ensure that both riders and motorists take due care. If any riders have trouble finishing the ride then a SAG Wagon will transport them and their bike to the finish.
