Beach Tandem Skydiving - just go ahead and jump! Sunshine Coast Skydivers use the latest equipment and training methods - no experience or training is needed to make your first tandem skydive harnessed to one of their friendly, experienced Tandem Masters, (although they do give you a pre-skydive brief so you know what to look forward to!). Freefall 10 seconds from 6,000 feet, 45 seconds from 12,000 feet (Night Skydive jump height) or over a minute from 14,000 feet before floating serenely through the sky under a parachute built for two to a soft, beach landing. Seems amazing, but really, no experience is necessary to do your first tandem skydive - their skydiving instructors do all the work, so you have all the fun!
... moreWith Beach Tandem Skydiving, you can tandem skydive over beautiful Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast with your Tandem Master. You will be supplied with briefing and all equipment. Then you will experience approximately 20 minutes worth of scenic flight to jump altitude with fantastic views over the stunning Sunshine Coast and Glasshouse Mountains! It's 10 to 65 seconds of adrenaline-pumping, heart-racing, full-on magnificent freefall!

Children are welcome, however the minimum skydive age is 14 years.
Disabled:
Easy access, disabled toilet facilities. Disability is not necessarily a restriction to skydive.
Pets Allowed:
Yes. While your pets cannot join you for the skydive, they are welcome to come along. There is ample space outside the jump centre.
General Comments
AUD25.00 APF membership is included in the price, no fuel levy, and no extra charge for beach landing. Transportation between the beach drop zone and the jump centre is laid on for their skydivers.
A camerawork package combining your HandyCam Skydive DVD and high quality high-res digital stills of your skydive. The photos are an awesome memento of your skydive experience - each one a possible life size poster opportunity! Failing that you can email and upload to the world to spread the joy! AUD129.
How To Get There
Pathfinder Drive, Caloundra Airport is just one hour north of Brisbane, 50 minutes south of Noosa off the Bruce Highway. Heading North (from Brisbane), exit Bruce Highway at Caloundra Exit and continue along Caloundra Road until you reach the third roundabout and see the brown 'Skydiving' signs, at the roundabout turn right

6,000 feet Groundrush
6,000 feet gives you eight to 10 seconds of serious adrenalin-pumping freefall then a serene, six to eight minute under-canopy ride floating down to your beach landing; a chance to take over the steering of your canopy (if you dare); a 15 to 20 minutes scenic flight over the beautiful Sunshine Coast (take in views from Brisbane to Fraser Island!) as you climb to jump altitude and of course, your personal Terminal Velocity Survivor's Certificate. If you book this jump and then book the skydive handycam DVD option from the Extras menu which follows, they will automatically give you a free upgrade from 6,000 feet to 8,000 feet (you just book this 6,000 feet skydive and the DVD and they will do the upgrade). It's a win-win situation!

Shooting Star Night Tandem Skydive
On weekday nights when there's nothing much on television you now have a whole new option on how to spend your evening - night tandem skydive! Best described as surreal, it's sensory deprivation and overload in one (do it, you will see what they mean!). The coast looks really sparkly from your owl's view under the canopy as you float above the silvery sea, the moon lighting your way... Come on! What are you waiting for?
