Description

The annual Tambo Cup Race Meeting attracts visitors and locals from all walks of life to witness first class racing and social activities including a luncheon plus Fashions on the Field, and Queen and Princess of the Turf.

There are interviews conducted throughout the day with jockeys, owners, trainers and the general public. After the event there will be a barbecue and the draw for the big monster raffle. A courtesy bus will be operating throughout the day and evening.

Further Details:
The Tambo Race Club will be celebrating 150 years in the year 2014. There have been several name changes over that period starting with The Great Western Downs Jockey Club, Tambo District Race Club and, since incorporation, Tambo and District Race Club Inc.

How To Get There:
On entering Tambo from the east turn right onto the Alpha Road, cross the bridge over the Barcoo River then turn right at the signpost and follow the road to the race course. If entering from the west, head through town and turn left onto the Alpha Road.
