Description

Kayak hire - they have single, double, sea kayaks and surfing kayaks for hire. Enjoy the calm clear waters of mission beach exploring the coastline and observing the local marine life or play in the waves, great for the kids. No experience is needed to enjoy kayaking they will give you all the info and how to so you can enjoy hours with them.

Pay only once during your stay, they will issue you an adventure pass on your first hire so then every time you hire it's at the additional rate.

Kayak turtle spotting - It's an easy paddle for the whole family and any experience level. They will paddle with you to look for turtles, dugongs, dolphins, rays and whales (seasonal). Weather permitting.

Standup paddle boards - Come and give standup paddling a go, it's one of the fastest growing watersports and they will have you paddling in no time. Stand up is suitable for all ages and levels so come down and paddle in a fun and safe environment. Standup is a great way to view marine life or paddle up and down the coastline, it's also a great workout!

Mission Beach Adventure Centre also have a very popular kids club that runs every day during the school holidays (all states). Each session is different and they range from game days, water awareness and safety sessions, pirate day to making palm tree club houses. Fun, fun, fun - no grown-ups allowed!
They are flexible with their age limits but if they have little littlies (under three) they require a minimum of four of that age group to run a session. They are also available for private sessions for those travelling with family groups, extended sessions and times other than advertised.
Mission Beach Adventure Centre can also incorporate sessions where the children can be fed. It is a treat meal with one of their famous hotdogs or toasted sandwich with a juice and a piece of something special so they come back to you tired, feed and ready for bed!

How To Get There:
For experienced SUP paddlers who want to explore of the coastline looking for turtles and other marine life is amazing, they can give you all the info and equipment you need. (Subject to assessment of ability).
Blo karts - Blo karts are light, manoeuvrable, responsive and safe - easily mastered, eco-friendly and the best adrenalin ride you will have on a sandy beach anywhere!, so when the weather is windy come down. They are only one of a handful of companies in Australia offering these karts for hire. Check out Getaways website for a video of Jason Dundas carving up the beach.
Mountain bikes - their bikes are available for hire to explore the mission beach area with a range of tracks through the rainforest or just to have a bike handy at your accommodation so you don't have to use a car.
