Balloon Down Under fly over the Gold Coast and Hinterland every morning at sunrise, weather permitting. Complimentary transfers for Gold Coast visitors staying from Sanctuary Cove to Coolangatta are available, including return to the theme parks or other location if required. Locals are met at the five star Palm Meadows Golf Resort, Gooding Drive, Carrara.

Children: Children aged from four to 14 years are welcome. A stand is available to assist them see over the edge of the balloon basket.
Miscellaneous:
Cancellations require 48 hours notice, allowing management to re-book vacant places. "No shows" on the flight morning and late cancellations will be charged for. As safety is first priority and ballooning is a weather dependent activity, flights may sometimes have to be cancelled due to unsuitable weather. In such an event a full refund is given and no cancellation fees apply. Customers are encouraged to reschedule their flight if possible.
Please note that the regulations of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority prohibit the carriage of disabled persons in a balloon.
As the dawn light slowly creeps across the Gold Coast you will experience the oldest and most romantic form of aviation in the world. After a welcoming tea and coffee at the launch site you can assist the pilot and crew to prepare the balloon for flight. Once aboard the wicker basket, your magical flight begins. The launch is so gentle you will not even realise you have left the ground. The peace and gentleness of ballooning will surprise you and the views are outstanding. This is the most amazing way to see the marvellous Gold Coast area.
You are about to experience the romance and adventure of the oldest form of flight, in a hot air balloon. To make your experience enjoyable and memorable, here are some helpful hints. Balloons only fly once a day, just after sunrise when the breezes are at their calmest, early morning starts are essential. Casual clothing is suggested, and closed toed shoes are a good idea as sometimes the balloon with launch and land in a paddock with long wet grass. It is no colder up in the air than it is when you walk out of your front door, so just wear what you are warm and comfortable in. Layers are a good idea as it gets warmer as the morning proceeds. Don't forget sunglasses, camera, and a hat if needed.
After the flight and balloon pack-up, enjoy a bottle of cool water and then it's back to the five star Palm Meadows Golf Resort Lakeview Restaurant for a lovely champagne breakfast. The story of the history of ballooning and why champagne is part of ballooning is followed by the presentation of your personal Flight Certificate; the ceremony will be enjoyed by all. In flight photos and others of the morning are available for purchase on CD.
The balloon flight departs from Palm Meadows Golf Resort, Gooding Drive, Carrara. From the M1 Motorway take Exit 77, which is south of Nerang. At the top of the exit take Gooding Drive, heading towards Broadbeach. Three kilometres along Gooding Drive on the left is Palm Meadows. Drive in along the curving driveway, across the white bridge and at the speed hump in the road turn right into the golf club car park. That is where you will be met at the nominated time.
Office hours are 8.00 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. each day. Bookings can be made by telephone up to 8.30 p.m. of the evening prior to the flight, and by email or fax by 4.00 p.m. the day prior to the flight. Email and fax bookings should be confirmed by telephone. Packages, VIP tours and family rates are available, please contact the operator for details. Up to 250 conference attendees can be catered for per morning flight, as well as smaller meeting groups of 10 or more.
