Mission Beach

Mission Beach is a relaxed, yet vibrant beachfront town with over 14 kilometers of magnificent golden sandy beaches. It lies about 2 hours' drive south of Cairns. Here two World Heritage areas, The Great Barrier Reef and Wet Tropics Rainforest, come together to form a tropical paradise. The Great Barrier Reef is only 38 kilometers away from Mission Beach, making it one of the closest mainland spots to access the Reef, just an hour or so away by boat.

Mission Beach offers as much to the extreme sports enthusiast as to the holiday-maker after some peace and quiet. Some activities you may or may not decide to participate in are: Skydiving, White water rafting, Sea kayaking, Jet skiing, Scuba diving, Snorkelling, Fishing, Hiking, Croc spotting and Sailing.

The relaxed nature of Mission Beach makes it a great place for all kinds of travellers to visit.
