The beaches of the Gold Coast are truly a cultural treasure and important national icon. A short drive along a Gold Coast esplanade and it’s not hard to see why. The beaches are magnificent!

Snapper Rocks, Currumbin Alley, and Burleigh Heads are legendary names in surfing circles and attract world-class surfers from around the world. The water is clear and blue and the conditions are perfect with clean, even breaks.

The famous beaches of Surfers Paradise are also popular. Kirra, Mermaid, Coolangatta and many other beaches are perfect for outings with the family, offering calm sheltered waters and picture-postcard scenery.

Only minutes off the coast, but another world away, is beautiful South Stradbroke Island. The untouched natural beauty of the island is complemented by two award-winning resorts offering numerous activities including sea kayaking, rock climbing, windsurfing, parasailing and beach fishing. Along with over 160 bird species the island also boasts a secluded lagoon-like beach as well as some excellent surfing beaches on the eastern side.
