Garry Palmer, a level four ASI Master Coach (who trains ASI surf coaches), is the founder of Surf Easy Lessons and has been teaching people to surf at Currumbin - the Gold Coast's safest learn to surf location - since 1994. He offers the best value lessons on the Gold Coast with the most experienced instructor.
Currumbin Alley's sheltered layout makes it less exposed to the prevailing winds, creating both perfect Learn to Surf conditions and challenging long rides for the experienced surfers. Learn to Surf Lessons include instruction in paddling, wave catching, various prone to feet methods, surfboard design and surf safety. Surf Easy has a near perfect record for getting you up quickly on the first lesson (no time is wasted on the beach doing theory).
Surf Easy Lessons and Hire is a licensed Gold Coast City Council approved Surf School and conforms to the Academy of Surf Instructors accreditation standards for a Surf School. Garry Palmer is the preferred provider for the Queensland TAFE Diploma in Event Management Surfing and the Queensland TAFE Certificate in Sport and Recreation Surfing. Garry is also the only ASI Level Four coach on the Gold Coast.

As well as Learn to Surf lessons, Surf Tours can be organised to take clients to the best possible surfing location on any particular day from The Spit to Byron Bay. Their surf guide will put clients on the spot to get the best waves to suit their ability and experience.
From Brisbane, take the M1 to exit 92 down to the Gold Coast Highway, then south over Currumbin Creek Bridge. Turn left to Currumbin Beach and continue to the car park at the point.
Like all Gold Coast Surf Schools, they run all lessons on a maximum of eight students to a coach but the average is six or less so you are guaranteed plenty of attention! Additional persons in a private lesson, with a minimum of four people, cost AUD35.00 per person. Private lessons are one and a half hours duration.
