Description
The Richmond Lakeview Caravan Park is the clean, friendly outback park with the ""million dollar view"". Richmond Lakeview Caravan Park overlooks Lake Fred Tritton and caters for tourists travelling the Overlander's Way. Richmond is situated halfway between Townsville and Mount Isa.
The caravan park caters for the touring public with clean amenities including disabled facilities and baby bathroom, free barbecue area and drive through sites as well as grassed camping areas. The park also has ensuite cabins and backpacker-style accommodation in Twin Share Rooms.
The Lake has a 1.2 kilometre walking track around the circumference. Drop in a line and catch a fish or redclaw. The water park is very popular with the children as it is the new undercover play-safe playground; and a refreshing swim is always welcome. The Lake facilities include a boat ramp for boats and jet skis. Water skiing is very popular at The Lake.

How To Get There
Richmond is located on the Overlander's Way (Flinders Highway) 500 kilometres west of Townsville and 400 kilometres east of Mount Isa.

Seniors and Pensioners receive a 10 per cent discount on prices outlined, on presentation of card. Management will also accept Britz/Maui 10 per cent discount vouchers and Motorhome / Campervan Australia vouchers.
General Comments
There are 27 drive-through powered caravan sites, 13 powered grassed sites, and three large areas for un-powered camping, camping trailers and caravans. There are eight twin-share budget rooms (bunkhouses) with a communal shower and toilet and separate kitchen. There are three self-contained, en-suite cabins. Two of the cabins will sleep a family of four, and the older cabin will sleep five, but there is a sofa bed in that cabin also which will sleep another two.
