Barron Falls lookout track, Barron Gorge National Park. Located 3.3 kilometres from Kuranda village, via Barron Falls Road, an elevated wheelchair-accessible boardwalk meanders through the rainforest from the car park to the lookout and railway platform. The lookout provides views of Barron Falls, which can be spectacular during floods. You may even be enveloped by a cloud of mist from the falls. Take care near the railway line. Keep on the walking tracks and boardwalks at all times. Take note of the safety signs and stay clear of the edge of the gorge and steep rock faces.

Beware of cassowaries and stinging tree leaves.
For your safety, do not walk along or below the railway line. This track may be closed during the wet season, between October and May.
Daytime temperatures and humidity can be high at any time of the year. Ensure you take water and wear a hat and sunscreen on this walk.
