Reef Experiences

Dive the world's most famous shipwreck

Share the amazing history of the SS Yongala and discover this 100 year old wreck with Adrenalin Dive. The Yongala went down in 28 metres of water after feeling the brunt of Poseidon's wrath on a fateful night in 1911.

Since then it has been consistently rated as one of the top dive sites in the world, and its sheer size and incredible array of marine life has made it into a mecca for the experienced diver.

Reef HQ is the worlds largest “living coral” aquarium and host to an amazing array of marine life. The facility is a working education centre and home of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority.

You will also find a new turtle hospital designed to rehabilitate sick and injured sea turtles, where you get the chance to be a part of the rehab and release experience.

Explore the Thorsbourne Trail by kayak

Get together with a group of adventurous and active mates for a guided sea kayak adventure around the World Heritage listed Hinchinbrook Island.

Coral Sea Kayak offers a range of trips and you can explore the remote beaches and waterfalls of the islands famous Thorsbourne Trail.
