
Opened in 2008, the Blackwater International Coal Centre, located in the town of Blackwater in Central Queensland, is a platform for showcasing the Australian Coal Industry to the world. The BICC incorporates an education-based Interpretive Centre which lets visitors learn about the history and future of the coal industry. With well-equipped conference rooms, a cinema featuring new-release movies, Japanese Gardens and an onsite Subway restaurant, the BICC is a social and cultural hub for the people of the town and surrounding area. How To Get There
Located on the Capricorn Highway, Blackwater. Driving west, look for the big red bucket on your right hand side. Parking is at the Littlefield Street entrance.
