More than 300 species of birds out of 600 found in Australia are located in the region from Goondiwindi to Taroom - one of the biggest bird areas in Australia.

Wonderful National Parks provide refuge for rare and endangered fauna and flora while, at the northern end, the spectacular Great Barrier Reef awaits. Here are a few excellent locations:
