Abel Point Marina, Airlie Beach, is the home of Whitsunday Escape's modern fleet of 29 vessels. The marina offers ease of boarding, parking and well stocked supermarkets close by. The lagoon and town are within easy walking distance. Choose from Whitsunday Escape's wide range: Power Cruisers, Power Catamarans, Sailing Yachts and Sailing Catamarans. All vessels come fully equipped for comfortable cruising in the tropics, including linen, a fully equipped galley, gas barbecue, refrigeration, compact disc player and AM/FM stereo, cockpit shade, cabin fans, electric anchor winch and rigid inflatable. Departures and arrivals from Hamilton Island or any other Island resort can be catered for. New additions to Whitsunday Escape's fleet include a Scimitar 1010 and Voyager 1040 Power Catamarans, Seawind 1160 Sailing Catamaran and a Catalina 387 Sailing Yacht.

To confirm your reservation a deposit of AUD600.00 is required. This is refundable less a AUD110.00 administration fee up until 60 days prior to charter. Less than 60 days prior, the balance of the fee is due. A refund will be made for cancellations within 60 days, only if a replacement booking is obtained.
The age limit is 18. No licence is required however some boating experience is necessary. The hirer is expected to have some coastal navigation experience along with an understanding of anchoring and mooring procedures. The hirer is asked to complete a form outlining past experience. Before you depart, Whitsunday Escape staff will go over the cruising area, radio procedures, the weather and resort facilities. They will also cover all systems and operational aspects of your vessel. If you wish to brush up on your skills, a sail guide can be arranged for the first day, or you may elect to take a guide for your entire charter. Pick up or drop offs are available to any of the Whitsunday Island resorts: Hamilton Island, Hayman Island, Daydream Island, South Mole Island, Long Island and Lindeman Island. An additional fee will apply depending on the location.
Charter costs do not include fuel used by Power Cruisers, Power Catamarans, Sailing Catamarans and Yachts over 13 metres; fishing equipment; reef tax (AUD15.00 per person). All vessels include linen, towels and blankets. Cooking facilities include a minimum of a two burner gas stove, oven and gas barbecue. Refrigeration and cabin fans are standard. Crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are also provided. Bathroom facilities have showers with hot and cold water. The charter period is from midday to midday. However, in order to save you valuable holiday time a 9.00 a.m. briefing can normally be arranged. Please confirm your briefing time prior to arrival. All charters have a five day minimum. A seven day minimum applies over New Year.
The indicative rates are a per night price however there is a minimum of five nights charter for most of the year and a minimum of seven nights charter in the September school holidays and Christmas/New Year holidays. The ten night rate is a special and works out cheaper per night than a five or seven night rate.
