Cancellations made less than 21 days prior to departure will result in complete forfeiture of the full price of the cruise.
Before your cruise commences (the day prior if possible) they ask that you call in to see their reservations staff and receive a pre-departure brief. This brief will go through all the things you need to remember before joining the yacht as well as enable them to collect any outstanding payments or fees.
Adventure Sail and Islandive - Whitsundays Sailing Adventures base in the Whitsundays is located at Airlie Beach on the Queensland coast, approximately half way between Brisbane and Cairns. Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport is serviced by Jetstar and Virgin Blue. The terminal is only a 40 minute coach ride from Airlie Beach. There are also regular flights into Hamilton Island Airport. From Hamilton Island it is only a 45 minute ferry ride to Shute Harbour, where air conditioned coaches meet every ferry for the 20 minute transfer to Airlie Beach. A fun alternative is to take a 10 minute Island Air Taxi's light aircraft transfer from Hamilton Island to Whitsunday Airport. From here it is only a 10 minute ride in a cab to Airlie Beach. Other options include road transport by coach or car and rail access via Proserpine station.
Adventure Sail and Islandive - Whitsundays Sailing Adventures professionally crewed and catered sailing holidays include skipper and crew/hostess, on board accommodation, fantastic meals, fresh linen and snorkelling equipment. WSA prides itself on giving guests a flexible, quality, value for money cruise around the Whitsunday Islands and Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
What To Bring - only bring a small soft bag for your sailing holiday and pack a beach towel, t-shirts, shorts, swimwear, a hat, warm clothing for the winter months, a pair of light shoes, insect repellent and sunscreen. The following vessels are licensed (no Bring Your Own): Derwent Hunter, Kiana and Pacific Sunrise. For all other vessels (Bring Your Own) alcohol and soft drinks can be purchased prior to departure and brought aboard to enjoy during the cruise at no extra charge.
Adventure Sail and Islandive - Whitsundays Sailing Adventures has no fixed itineraries for their scheduled departure sailing holidays. The desires of guests are considered in relation to prevailing weather conditions to ensure that everyone aboard enjoys their sailing holiday.
Directions to the Whitsundays Sailing Adventures office:
1. Take the Bruce Highway, towards Airlie Beach,
2. Turn right onto Strathdickie Road, near Proserpine River bridge,
3. Turn first right onto Shute Harbour Road,
4. Travel along Shute Harbour Road for approximately 20 minutes into Airlie Beach,
5. Over hill into Airlie then left at roundabout into main central business district of Airlie Beach,
6. After passing The Esplanade on your left,
7. Oz Adventure Sailing office is on the left hand side of the road, near the corner of Shute Harbour Road and The Esplanade
8. Proceed up the stairs next to Brumby's Bakery ...welcome to Whitsundays Sailing Adventures!
